Review by hotel critic
The cozy cabin-like room provided the perfect ambiance for a relaxing getaway, complete with a comfortable bed that felt like sleeping on a cloud. the attached Wild Bear Tavern offered delicious mountain dining with signature cocktails, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for unwinding after a day of exploring. The views from the newly installed deck were simply spectacular, showcasing the beauty of Shadow Mountain Lake and the surrounding mountains. We also appreciated the convenient amenities such as the high-speed Wi-Fi, allowing us to stay connected while basking in the serenity of the Colorado mountain escape. Exploring the outdoor winter wonderland at GLMRD Nordic Center was a highlight, where we indulged in ski and snowshoe rentals amidst the picturesque snowy landscape. the proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park provided endless opportunities for outdoor activities, from snowmobiling with Grand Adventures to enjoying the local trail system in the Arapahoe National Forest. The attentive service and attention to detail at Gateway Inn made our stay truly memorable. Whether taking in the stunning views, savoring a satisfying meal at O's Wild Bear Tavern, or simply relaxing in the shared lounge, every moment felt like a cherished memory in the making.
